Project management is predefined set of planning, motivating, organizing and monitor by controlling resources to obtain a particular goals. Usually a project has beginning and ending tenure with the time constraints, depends upon funding for the project. A project is obtained through undertaking to have a specific goals and objectives by adding values and efforts. Some projects are achieved on temporary basis, some on permanent basis and some on semi-permanent basis to produce goods & services by considering Total Quality Management. Complete the important tasks on priority basis. This may seem natural, but it is very easy to make it habit for the taking care of nominal & minor tasks on priority basis to get the other task stream line. In this way, you can easily focus on other critical tasks. You have to chalk out plan and list the appended tasks, then evaluate which task is most important and when it is to be accomplished. Suppose, you have 10 tasks to perform for today, you will weigh only 2 or 3 tasks are essential out of 10 and others are nonessential. It does not mean that you get away others tasks and complete only 2 or 3 tasks in a day. Preference to perform a task can be productive with handsome output in a project.
Goal setting is the way to keep the efficiency of employees in stream line and determination the status of assigned goal. Write down all physical goals every day that will of course support many questions like Why & How in the productivity of project management. This should be separate daily task from the To Do List. This practice will help you in taking decision, whether you are closer to your desired goal or you are going away from it. Evaluate from your goal setting, whether you are obtaining your objective or not, it is also a powerful motivator to keep you align on working.
Rest and recreation must be there in your work schedule and do not reserve yourself for working on weekends. When you have completed your scheduled task, stop everything and take rest. Utilize this break time with full fun like, exercising, listening music, eating vegetables and fast food or engage yourself in other activities that give you relaxation and reduce metal stress. diversification is necessary in work. If you keep in touch with work without any break, you will become stereotype and get bored with your daily work routine. So diversification keeps you interested and motivated with your assigned work.
To achieve desired results and maximum productivity in form of good & services, always keep your employees motivated and loyal with work. This is possible only through half yearly or annual handsome raise in salary package or rewarding to the employees periodically. This thing keeps your employees more motivated towards job. Recognize your staff members who are delivering desired goal and give them special reward and appreciation certificates to realize that organization is satisfied with them and acquiring the same results in future.
In daily routine work, refuse to take the responsibility of other people’s work. There are two sorts of workers in the organization who request to do work for them. The workers of first group are really busy and require learning good task management skills and techniques, whereas the people in the second group are less active. So you are not required to resolve the both issues. But your duty is just to set an example of good productivity by having work done.
To achieve specific results in project, project manager should be connected with all related department like operation department, budgeting department and marketing department and there should not be any communication gap among these department. Productivity can only be enhanced through proper planning and meeting with staff members. Proper scrutiny of employees can evaluate expertise and skills for the betterment of project & productivity.
